Atmosphere
“AHHH!! I’m so freaked out!” Hey, don’t worry. Here at Heights we promise to freak you out on a regular basis. Just kidding. Come join us during our worship times and you’ll see that it’s not about you. It’s not about the band. It’s not about a speaker. It’s all about Jesus. With a contemporary music style and easy to understand lyrics we hope to not only draw you into worship with us but to challenge you to go deeper still in your own relationship with your Father.
The words to the songs are on two screens during the worship time. So you can pretend to know the words even if you don’t. Just kidding. (again) Most of the time we sing parts of a song more than one time during the service so catching on is a snap! From intimate times of worship where it seems like it’s just you and God in the room to crazy fun dancing around in the joy of knowing that Christ lives in you. We desire to give freedom in worship. Not holding a “this is how it’s done” attitude. Come experience a time you won’t soon forget.
Why We Worship
God desires to have communion or fellowship with his people. When we worship we are offering up our hearts and lives to a real God who offers us a real relationship. Whether by singing, praying, being silent, sitting, standing, running or jumping. There are many forms and languages of worship we can offer to our God. We are simply saying; “I can’t do this on my own. I need Your help and guidance. Here God take me. Use me.” How awesome would it be if we applied the same guidlines of worship to our everday lives. God loves taking our little lives and our little dreams and making them HUGE by showing us His heart for us. That’s why we worship. To communicate. And if you listen; He’s communicating back. The conversation is open. Are you listening?

What Do I Need To Serve
First we are looking for motivated individuals who have a heart after God and are just plane crazy about music and or production media elements that draw people into a deeper experience with God. Whether it be through instrument, voice, lighting, sound board tech, dance, or graphic design.
Second, we are looking for a level of professionalism which is expected in every aspect of serving. Having a “No job is too big or too small” attitude.
And last but certainly not least. Talent. Even though a person shows interest in serving in a certain area we understand that this may not be where their strength lies. Sometimes just being “eager” or “motivated”, “convinced”, or even if you feel like your called to serve in that are is not enough. Do not misunderstand. We are not looking for perfection. Anyone that decides that they would like take steps toward joining our team will be given every opportunity to grow in from where they are. If you have a CD, mp3, video, or artwork of any kind available that spotlights your hard work please let us know. We are not “American Idol” and will never come off as “Simon”.
